Senior Product Manager

Description:

• Provides the leadership, product, technical and market knowledge to establish and manage the process to forward plan strategic inventory to align [Company] global inventories with Electric Dump Truck (EDT) machine population and distributor collaboration to provide best in class cumulative availability (coverage) balanced with optimum supply chain costs. This position collects and aligns EDT component rebuild forecasts from global Komatsu rebuild centers, [Company] distributors, and [Company] parts sales staff to produce and maintain a strategic part-level forecast to [Company] Parts Operations. Provides leadership based on technical characteristics & market intelligence to ensure proper strategic parts coverage and forecasting , to include new product introduction (NPI) and machines with increasing population. Collaborate with [Company] Parts Sales and Marketing to ensure proper major components and sub-parts are assigned to EDT units in active population. Provide leadership to Global Distributors and Affiliates to ensure the implementation and use of [Company] proprietary rebuild forecasting tools.
• Strategically forward plan parts demand for key components used in over 1200 Komatsu EDT worldwide, worth over $200M in parts volume.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather expected global EDT rebuild data at both shop and EDT-unit level.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to determine usage of [Company] individual parts to rebuild major components found on [Company] EDT.
• Translate shop and EDT unit-level rebuild forecasts in a forward forecast of strategic EDT rebuild parts for use by [Company] Parts Operations.
• Collaborate with [Company] parts sales and worldwide distributors to determine and alleviate gaps between forecasted demand opportunity and actual sales.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Manufacturing, Finance or Operations – MBA a plus
• 5-7 years of varied and progressively responsible business experience that includes materials management, product management, logistics, distributor operations, operations management
• Mining experience or education preferred
• Proven ability to drive cultural change, create flexibility when necessary and motivate personnel to achieve stretch goals
• Professional PC skills and upper end knowledge of IT operating systems
• Professional written and oral communication skills appropriate to all levels of the organization
• Embraces personal accountability, bias for action, extreme sense of urgency, willing to make decisions
• Absolute integrity and honesty in all dealings with employees, senior management and suppliers
• Ability to travel worldwide up to 50%
• Knowledge of engineering terms related to fit, form and function
