THE COMPANY AND ROLE
This company is an engineering design solutions business in power distribution, operating throughout Australia. Their services include design and construction of switchboards, switchrooms, substations and switchyards. 

This senior role, covering high voltage engineering and reporting to the Engineering Project Manager, is a hands-on position, responsible for all facets of switchgear within a project.  This will include design, construction, procurement and commissioning.

The role will contain staff management and requires previous experience in this area.

THE TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

• High voltage switchgear design experience including transformers
• Advanced trouble shooting skills, protection and configuration
• Underground mining background
• Ability to offer customised solutions for switchgear, switchboards and switchrooms
• Full and accurate understanding of Australian standards and compliant in all Safety, Quality and Environmental practices
• Computer literate – Microsoft Suite, Ironbark and AutoCAD
• Qualified as an Electrical Engineer or Electrical Fitter
