This large public sector organisation based in the Western Melbourne suburbs delivers essential community services to the public.
Due to strategic growth, they seek a Team Manager for the Land Development group.
You will manage a team of eight dynamic engineers, delegate their work, set and measure KPIs, set development plans to encourage their performance. The second focus of the role involves stakeholder engagement, both internal and external. The last focus of the role requires reporting and analysis.
You will be comfortable liaising with managers from other groups within the company and be experienced in external stakeholder engagement. Experience in the land development sector is preferable.
You have an associate diploma in civil engineering or equivalent and understand both the design and project management and associated processes required to deliver land development projects to the community. The focus of the role is people management - technical experience is secondary.
You can work independently to set deliverables and take enjoyment in achieving as part of a team. Leadership skills are essential as is previous experience managing a team. You are a confident communicator and are able to liaise and negotiate with ease.
This role is best suited to someone looking to work closer to home, away from the city, or perhaps someone taking a side step into a more managerial, hands-off or less technical role. The successful candidate will be offered a salary between $85k and $90k plus Super.
