Our Client is one of the world’s largest iron ore producers that operates globally and has extensive mining operations throughout Australia. An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to work on 9 days on 5 days off roster FIFO to Western Australia's Pilbara region.
Reporting to the Engineering Superintendent you will lead a team of 8 Electrical Professionals including Graduates in the successful delivery of projects to maintain all mining, rail, port and power facilities on behalf of asset owners. You will offer continual support and mentoring in the use of systems and procedures, preparation of conceptual and detailed scopes of work, estimates, control of budgets, implementation, including commissioning, training and handover to operations.
Your previous leadership experience will see you succeed in this role along with;
•Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering
•Project management experience
•Extensive knowledge and understanding of operational mine requirements.
•Good problem solving skills.
•Excellent communication skills
•Strong Leadership abilities
•Minimum five years post graduate electrical Engineering experience.
•Minimum five years post graduate experience in an asset management or heavy industry role.
•Modicon PLC experience.
•Citect experience.
•High level of computer literacy.
•Fault diagnosis.
•Experience with the installation and maintenance of 415V MCC’s, VSD’s, motors, etc.
•High voltage switchgear.
•Experience managing cross-functional teams.
•Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental improvement.
Completed courses in Frontline Management and People Management would be highly regarded and a highly competitive remuneration package is available in return.
