Geotechnical Engineer

Salary: £22000 - £28000

We are recruiting an Geotechnical Engineer for one of the UK’s top consultancies who work both in the public and private sector to be located in London.

Candidates are expected to have a civil engineering background and further possess an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering and actively be working towards chartered status.

You will have prior industry experience with strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering or engineering geology and past experience of working within the rail sector. It is also required you can demonstrate your ability using industry design software for retaining walls and slope stability.

Typical duties include:

- Foundation design
- Gravity embedded retaining wall design
- Piling analysis
- Site investigation analysis
- Conceptual and detailed Geotechnical Design using recognised software
- Interpretive report writing
