Maintenance Superintendent

Maintenance Superintendent - Queensland - Up to $220K

Our client is one of the world's largest mining companies in the world with operations in over 20 countries across the world. This quality company has excellent staff retention and develops their skills through training and internal promotion.  Due to continued growth and changes in the organisational structure our client is looking for an experienced Maintenance Superintendent for one of their major operations in the Bowman Basin region.
 
As the Maintenance Superintendent you will be responsible for:

• Managing the safe maintenance of plant equipment and systems
• Leading a team of Engineers and Mechanical Trades to drive and improve the availability and reliability of the plant and equipment,
• Overseeing the completion of all statutory mechanical and electrical inspections
• Actively participating in the implementation, maintenance, and compliance with the Safety Management Plan (SMP)
• Evaluating cost effective options and methods of operation

To be considered for the role of Maintenance Superintendent you will be able to demonstrate:

• Either Mechanical or Electrical trade qualified combined with post graduate qualifications in engineering 
• At least 10 years Maintenance Engineering experience within a coal mine or a similar industry
• Excellent planning and organisational skills,
• The ability to influence others and high level reasoning skills and problem-solving ability
