The Company
A developing miner in QLD's Bowen Basin has an opportunity for an Engineering and Maintenance Manager to join their Surface Operations Management team. This is a progressive mine that can offer the opportunity to have a lot of autonomy in your decisions and utilize your thorough mobile equipment/surface experience.
The Position
Your main purpose will be to provide fit for purpose and efficient plant and equipment for the Open Cut mobile operation. Identifying and justifying opportunities for capital investment and managing delivery of the capital budget, you will possess knowledge of Legislation and Australian Standards relevant to Surface Mining.
The Responsibilities
In this role you will be reporting to the General Manager and you will be responsible for the efficient maintenance of mobile plant whilst optimising overall performance of the maintenance team during planned and scheduled activities. Also, you will respond to breakdowns as required, monitor maintenance activities and overview the Mechanical Engineering on site.
The Requirements
- Engineering or Similar Degree
- Knowledge of Risk Identification Processes and safe work procedures
- Knowledge of relevant statutory requirements
- Demonstrated Supervisory Experience in a similar role
- Minimum 5 years experience with Mobile Equipment
The Incentives
In return for your experience and commitment you will receive a competitive salary and the opportunity to work in the center of the Booming Mining Industry. They will offer you a salary of $200,000 inclusive of Super and bonuses will be on top of this. You will have DIDO roster (4/3, 4/3, 5/2 day shift) and vehicle as well.
