Senior Materials Handling Engineer

Senior Mechanical Engineer, required to work across a landmark project portfolio for a first class EPCM. This unique role will demand an engineer with a vast materials handling background within the mining sector. 


This position requires  extensive 'hands on” materials handling experience: conveyors, crushing and screening plant, chutes and feeders, rotary car dumpers, stacker/reclaimers, shiploaders, etc.
Demonstrated experience in feasibility studies, design, construction and commissioning for mining and bulk material handling plants, including large scale conveyor design project will also be most beneficial.


General duties and responsibilities will be to: 

• Liaise with other department engineers and draftspersons to ensure project goals are met
• Provide input to the mechanical engineering budget and address any variances from budget
• Provide progress monitoring and reporting as required
• Undertake scope control and trending of scope changes as needed
• Undertake engineering support for the contracts
• Meet assigned dates for engineering deliverables
