An opportunity has arisen for a motivated mining engineer with open cut planning experience. My client is set to open the next mine in their portfolio. Based in central Queensland the mine is set to produce 9.2mtpa by 2014.

Working for a progressive yet flexible company, you will have the option of FIFO from Brisbane or residentially based in central Queensland. And for the right candidate they would consider a split roster between Brisbane and Central Queensland.

As this is a brand new site, staff accommodation is second to none. This along with a very competitive remuneration package makes this a great choice.

To be considered you must be able to demonstrate:
  • At least 5 years post graduate experience in open cut, short and mid-term planning
  • Truck & Shovel operational and/or planning experience in an open cut environment
  • Experience using scheduling tools such as XPAC or VULCAN
  • Experience using haul packages and XERAS would be advantageous.
