Deputies - Undergound Coal

The Company:

This mine has been named the Australian Mine of the Year and Coal Mine of the Year 2011.  You will need to relocate to Blackwater for this role and you will be working in a brand new mine which only started up last year.  This operation is set up to be a world leader in the coal mining industry and has a long life ahead of itself.  All the equipment is brand new, and this company will offer you the opportunity to join a vibrant mining company in its early stages of growth and development.

Skills and Experience:

• Ensuring compliance to the Coal Mine Safety and Health Act 1999, and Regulations 2001 and the Site Safety Management Systems
• Hazard Management Plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
• Driving a pro-active safety culture and ensuring the highest safety standards are maintained
• Must have excellent  communication and be able to react quickly to coordinate required responses
• Site induction and Coal Mine workers Health Scheme and Functional Capacity Evaluation
• Facilitate the Risk Management Process
• Ensuring compliance to the Coal Mine Safety and Health Act, and Regulations and the Site Safety Management Systems  

Qualifications:
 
Essential:   

• Relevant ERZ controller Certificate of Competency
• Qualifications and experience as a Shotfirer
• Minimum of 2 years proven experience working in the underground coal mine
• Proven experience and a strong commitment to workplace health, safety and environment policies
