Electrical Designer
Our Client is currently seeking an Electrical Designer with the following job responsibilities:
- Creation of lighting, cable sizing/voltage drop, breaker/fuse sizing, cable tray fill, electrical heat trace, and other similar calculations.
- Design of single line diagrams, layouts, schematics, wiring diagrams, panel schedules, cable schedules, and installation details.
- Coordinate technical issues with other disciplines.
- Preparation of work packages including drawing lists and material lists.
- Develop and mentor other team members.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years past experience in heavy industrial design working with low voltage and medium voltage systems up to 15 kV.
- Well versed in the Canadian Electrical Code and other regulatory codes.
- Experience in oil/gas, mining, pulp/paper, and thermal power generation is an asset.
- A 2 year diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or Engineering Design and Drafting Technology is required.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- AutoCAD or Microstation experience
