The Company: 
  
This company is one of the largest underground coal producers in Australia, with plenty of planning and development projects for the future.  They offer rewarding training opportunities and advancement within the company.  Located close to the attractive Blue Mountains and Bathurst regions, this role will offer a range of places to live.  


About the role:
  
In this role you will be accountable for the management of the processing plant to meet production and quality targets.  You will also be required to oversee the continual enhancement of the plant.  Having a drive for results is essential for your success in this role.


You will also have excellent leadership competencies with the ability to lead a team to execute site based and corporate initiatives in a continuously improving, operating and expanding environment.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the production and maintenance of the CHPP and ensure the safety, environmental, cost and equipment performance objectives are achieved
  • Lead and mentoring the CHPP team
  • Plan and schedule coal movements to meet customer demand
  • Manage contracts for plant operation, coal logistics and associated infrastructure
  • Proven ability in leading production and maintenance teams is essential   
Skills and Experience: 


To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following:


  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive experience in coal processing and CHPP operation
  • Strong knowledge of coal preparation, material logistics and wastewater treatment
  • Exceptional personnel management and communications skills
  • Proven understanding of safety, risk awareness and identification of hazards
