Principal Geologist / Hydrogeologist

Description:

• Principal Geologist/Hydrogeologist with experience in selling, managing, and performing industrial environmental projects with extensive environmental consulting experience.
• Will successfully market and develop new work to support the continued growth of the Environmental Sciences and Engineering department.
• Qualified candidate should have experience with CERCLA and Minnesota Regulations.
• Experience in developing and managing complex geologic/hydrogeologic investigations.
• Will be responsible for oversight, mentorship and will direct the efforts of staff and project level geologists and hydrogeologists.
• Recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
• Will manage multiple projects being responsible for ensuring deliverables, schedule, and budget and achieved.
• Travel to project sites as needed for the execution of project goals.

Accountabilities

• This position will report directly to the Minneapolis Unit Manager and indirectly to Industrial and Commercial Sector leadership.

Knowledge

• B.S. in Geology required, MS in Geology plus.
• Licensed Professional Geologist.
• 20+ years related environmental experience.
• Previous consulting experience required. Ready portfolio of clients desired.
• Proven Track record to market and develop new work.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with, mentor and direct staff level engineers and technicians.
• Exhibit ability to track and meet budgets and schedules.
