Transportation Equipment Mechanic

Position Description

• Duties include: diagnosis and repair of all types of engine driven and DC electric powered equipment. Expertise to troubleshoot and repair components such as, engines, transmissions, differentials, brakes, steering, electric drive units and controls, hoists, hydrostatic drive, hydraulic components, air conditioning and glass replacement is required.

Basic Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; 5 years journeyperson repair experience in one or more of the following mobile equipment types: industrial, construction, mining, agriculture, heavy truck. Basic computer use required. Must be willing to work all shifts including rotating.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical training beyond high school or graduate of an approved apprentice program.
