Senior Mechanical Engineer

One of the world’s largest global diversified mining companies is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis for a rapid expansion project in Queensland. On offer is a generous remuneration package and residential role with relocation costs covered by the Client.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Acting as a technical advisor to site contractors. 
• Assisting with any design alterations/faults. 
• Developing and mentoring site and project engineering personnel. 
• Liasing with key stakeholders in order to implement effective engineering solutions. 
• Ensuring compliance with the Sustainable Development Management System. 
• The expansion will increase the annual production rate by an extra 30% from 2013. Therefore candidates should have a demonstrable track record in material handling and large mining projects.

The successful candidate will have:

• A Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline (Mechanical)  
• A minimum of 5 years previous experience. 
• A proven track record in Heavy Industrial Construction Projects. 
• The right to live and work in Australia on a permanent basis.
