ELECTRICAL AND CONTROLS MANAGER

My client is now looking for a Electrical and Controls Manager to join their team in Brisbane. They are working on one of the largest mining projects in QLD today and are now seeking an experience electrical and controls engineer with solid management experience.

  1. Responsible for all electrical and control aspects of port developments. 
  2. Monitor the electrical and control design to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and safety requirements 
  3. Interface with Mechanical, Structural, Marine, Civil and other infrastructure specialists for the conceptual development, planning, design, estimation, project execution and commissioning of port developments. 
  4. Manage Australian and International consultants to deliver the Basic and Detailed Engineering for the electrical and control aspects of port developments 
  5. Manage the electrical and control disciplines for the engineering and development of specifications for coal materials handling systems
  6. Provide technical support to electrical and control field personnel for port projects
  7. Liaison with the mechanical and structural disciplines to ensure integration of electrical and control aspects during engineering, construction and commissioning. 
  8. Coordinate and manage the interface with power supply authorities to secure supply for port projects
  9. Manage the planning and recruitment of resourcing for the disciplines for the future design and construction phases of the projects.
  10. Assist with the preparation and development of the annual budget and business plan.
  11. Chartered & RPEQ
