The Opportunity
This progressive company provides a wide range of general engineering services to the mining industry and is in an exciting growth phase. They specifically deal in the maintenance and repair of underground mining equipment and have been in operation for well over 80 years.
The Position
They are seeking a Mechanical Workshop Supervisor to work at their workshop in Rutherford due to recent successful tenders. In this position you will supervise the repair, overhaul and maintenance of underground mining equipment and provide input toward production and product quality improvements. Some further responsibilities will include planning shop floor work, resource allocation and Ensuring QA Certification.
You will be reporting to the Workshop Manager and work closely with maintenance staff and the fabrication supervisors to ensure that the company continues to provide excellent service and products to their customers across the Hunter Valley.
Requirements
- Experience with Underground Coal Mining Equipment
- Mechanical Trade Qualification
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Supervisory Skills
- Hydraulic Experience Preferred
The Incentives
In this role you will be rewarded with a salary package from $100,000. You will be working Monday to Friday day shift in a full time permanent position and the workshop is only located 40 minutes from Newcastle.
