HVC Technician

Job Description:          

  • Perform HVC operations as required. Perform all basic measuring, grinding, masking, coating, and straightening operations. Inspect incoming work and related paperwork. Operate lathes, grinders, press and metal spray equipment. Safely perform the chrome removal process. Accurately apply the HVC spray coating with customer set ups and grind or polish. Straighten rods in the press to within manufactures tolerance. Perform equipment maintenance and operate micrometers. Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards.

Requirements:

  • Must have experience running lathes and grinders.
  • Must have experience in skills such as indicating, inspections, and micrometers.
  • Must be proficient in MDSI software.
  • Must have general machinist skills.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Must have the ability to read prints.
  • Must have general maintenance skills.

This position is designated as a "Safety-Sensitive Position". A Safety-Sensitive Position includes tasks or duties that the employer in good faith believes could affect the safety or health of the employee performing the task or others, which includes any of the following: operating a motor vehicle, other vehicle, equipment, machinery or manufacturing process, the malfunction or disruption of which could result in injury or property damage; performing duties in the residential or commercial premises of a customer, supplier or vendor; working in any occupation subject to federal safety regulations.
