Underground Mechanical Foreman

The appointee will:

• Be in possession of a Grade 12/N3 certificate and a relevant trade certificate (Mechanical).
• Be in possession of a valid Foreman or Senior Foreman certificate
• Be computer literate.
• Have 2 years experience in a mechanized mining environment.
• Be declared medically fit for the position and the environment, as determined by the risk based medical examination at the relevant Gold Fields Occupational Health and Safety Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening Test.

Key responsibilities include:

• Proper safe working of all TM3 equipment as per appointment.
• Responsible for safe and proper maintenance of all equipment.
• Responsible for the maintenance of standards and conditions in TM3.
• Responsible for the safe and proper installation of equipment in TM3
• Controlling the budget.
• Good housekeeping.
• Responsible for all outside contractors and capital projects in the section.
• Risk assessments and job procedures.
