Underground Electrical Foreman

The appointee will:

• Be in possession of a Grade 12/N3 certificate and a relevant trade certificate (Electrical).
• Be in possession of a valid Foreman or Senior Foreman certificate.
• Have intimate knowledge of relevant mines code of practice.
• Have 2 years experience in a mechanized mining environment.
• Medium Voltage Certificate.
• Be declared medically fit for the position and the environment, as determined by the risk based medical examination at the relevant Gold Fields Occupational Health and Safety Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening Test.

Key responsibilities include:

• To manage KPA’s of subordinates.
• To evaluate/monitor compliance to codes of practice.
• To support adherence to the company’s full compliance initiatives.
• Ensure healthy and safety of the people and conditions in the section.
• Ensure daily/weekly/monthly and annual TM3 maintenance targets are met.
• Technical problem solving.
• All functions related to LT AND HT reticulation.
• To manage electrical construction/maintenance work.
• Ordering of equipment spares.
