Senior Underground Mine Surveyor - FIFO Perth

Perth

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager you will play a key role in the Surveying Team for this gold operation and be involved in all mine surveying activities. 


This role will suit a proactive person with strong interpersonal and communication skills. To be successful here you will need to be a highly organised individual who both thrives in an autonomous position but also enjoys working within a positive team environment.


Duties and responsibilities include:
  • Review all activities and processes in the surveying department
  • Plan and oversee the collection of underground spatial data
  • Weekly departmental planning
  • Management of departmental budget
  • Approval of mining plans
  • Auditing field works/staff appraisals
  • Train and mentor staff
You will need:
  • 5 + years in survey experience in underground operations
  • A relevant degree qualification in Mine Surveying or Diploma of Engineering and Mine Surveying.
  • Authorised Mine Surveyor's Certificate of Competency Grade 1
  • A thorough understanding of surveying and of survey geometry
  • Mine design
  • Experience inleading a team of surveyors
  • Vulcan experience
  • Salaries for this role will be between $140,000 - $170,000 per annum however we will look at salaries outside this range candidate dependent.
