Senior Surveyor Underground Mining

A good opportunity for an established senior surveyor who wants to run his or her own site. Local Gold miner with strong balance sheet and multiple(25+) development projects is creating an exciting environment to work within.

Multiple sites allow you to run one of them as your own show whilst mentoring the younger surveyors in the team. 

• Report through to Underground Manager
• Manage all Survey functions whilst liaising with all technical staff
• Lay out and maintenance of survey reference marks underground
• Regular surveys to control major underground features
• Assist the Mining Engineers in mine design and drawing of mine instructions
• Provision of accurate survey control network
• Survey of and computations for ore and waste volumes and stockpiles
• Provide accurate End of Month figures to Engineers and Geologists
• All the usual survey control, volume calcs, end of month figures etc.
• Well equipped camp and site allows fifo or RES options
• Mid tier site will have you hands on and involved in all engineering aspects

This opportunity will suit a mid range to senior surveyor that wants a solid plan for progression over the next 12 - 18 months.

Requirements:

• Bring 5+ years of experience to the table in underground environments to qualify.
• Diploma of Surveying or Bachelor Applied Science (Surveying)
• Authorised Mine Surveyor's Certificate of Competency Grade 1 issued by the WA Department of Industry and Resources

A salary of between $190-$150 is offered + super. Also included is premium private health cover, salary continuance and salary packaging options. The position is fly in/fly out from Perth on a 8 days on 6 days off roster. Excellent on-site accommodation is provided. Recreational facilities include Foxtel, swimming pool, tennis and squash courts and gymnasium.
