The Position:
As the Mechanical Engineering Manager for this Underground Coal Operation, you will be responsible for ensuring mechanical engineering and maintenance standards across all process areas are maintained within the standards set by the department. You will also be responsible for providing outcomes that maintain Mechanical Statutory Compliance within the requirements of the coal mines Health and Safety Act.

The Responsibilities: 
Ideally, you will have excellent project management and planning skills coupled with a high level of communication and interpersonal skills. You will have a proven track record with an ability to think laterally and strategically, work well under pressure and be committed to meeting deadlines.

The Requirements:

• 5+ years UG coal mining experience
• Mechanical Engineering Degree
• Certificate of competency to perform the duties of the Manager Mechanical Engineering
• Budget and cost control experience is a must
• Experience in management software including SAP, Pulse, MIMS
