Cost Engineer

Our Client is looking for an experienced Cost Engineer to join a professional team on this large project based in Perth. You will be undertaking Cost Control Activities and works to establish procedures and budgets, enable the accurate recording of data to analyze costs and trends in order to provide real time advice to the key project management for the company. With 5-7 years previous experience in Cost Control and a background in Engineering and Construction you will be a great asset for this large EPCM company.

Responsibilities for this role will include, but not be limited to:

• Budget allocation and Cost Control Activities 
• Evaluation and reporting of Cost Deviations and reporting on cost outcome 
• Follow up on progress achieved on reports 
• Participation in vendor/contractor bid reviews and assisting in claims preparation and evaluation 
• Identification of scopes, changes and trends

To be successful for the role, you have the following:

• Good skills in Cost Control Systems and spreadsheet and database skills 
• Time management skills and the ability to work within clearly defined procedures to prepare accurate deliverables 
• Ability to work in a team, being a self starter and results oriented 
• The ability to maintain composure under all circumstances and to take ownership, responsibility and accountability
