THE OPERATIONS;
This wholly owned and operated Manufacturing Mining Company based in Central Queensland is currently running multiple Site Operations and a Plant Manufacturing Facility. Focusing on Magnesite the operations join to together to make a series of products used and sold globally in refractories for the steel, cement and glass industries.
THE POSITION;
The combined operations oversee approximately 370 Staff members and there are now vacancies and Opportunities available for Experienced Mechanical Fitters to join the Maintenance Team at one of their prominent Site Operations. Offering a Four Day Working Week Roster living Residential in Parkhurst, North of Rockhampton, and reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor the successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to;
Perform routine mechanical maintenance activities, breakdown work and problem analysis to meet both daily and long term production needs;
Develop JSA's for tasks within area of responsibility;
Identify, initiate and implement plant improvement opportunities;
Undertake Acting Supervisor Role through Plant Shutdowns and to cover for shift and leave relief;
Utilise the computer based maintenance system to record work history and parts usage;
Monitor and report on environmental issues to ensure prompt management of issues as they arise;
THE REQUIREMENTS;
The successful candidate will be required to live Residential in Parkhurst/Rockhampton as well as possess and be able to display extensive Australian Mining Experience in Fixed Plant Maintenance with;
- Trade Qualification in Mechanical Fitting;
- Post Trade Training is Desirable;
- At least 5 + Years Experience in Fixed Plant Maintenance in an Australian Mining Capacity;
- Demonstrated knowledge of bulk materials handling equipment;
- Working knowledge in Hydraulic and Pneumatic control systems and compressors;
- Working knowledge in the maintenance of bulk materials handling equipment including screw conveyors, bucket elevators, rotary valves, grinding mills and belt conveyors;
- Experience with Gas Fired/Electric Furnaces and Kilns;
- Gas Ticket is desirable;
- Demonstrated ability to analyse faults;
THE RATES;
Hourly Rates Determined on Levels of Experience;
Level 1 Fitter; $35.28 an Hour;
Level 2 Fitter; $$35.81 an Hour;
Level 3 Fitter; $36.34 an Hour;
Level 4 Fitter; 36.89 an Hour;
Plus 9% Standard Superannuation Contributions;
