Job Description
The Contracts Administrator has the
responsibility to execute contract administration processes and coordinate
interfaces post-contract award for the project (immediately post award through
contract close-out).
As a Procurement
professional, the Contract Administrator shall 1) ensure process integrity, 2)
provide commercial experience and insight, 3) leverage global procurement spend
and supply chain expertise, and 4) efficiently provide contracting and
procurement expertise
EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Gain alignment
on project contract administration needs, objectives and requirements
• Ensure
Contractor's contract administration and subcontracting procedures and processes
meet contract requirements
• Ensure
communications between Company project team and Contractor are consistent with
contract terms and conditions
• Develop and
execute administrative processes that advance the project’s procedures, goals
and objectives
• Coordinate the
change control process, including: amendments , change orders and other
contract changes
• Communicate on
project contract administration & subcontracting activities, progress and
issues
• Manage the
Contract Close-Out Activity

Special Requirements
Undergraduate
degree in Business, Engineering disciplines or Supply Chain Management
OTHER:
* 5-10 years of
Contract Administration experience
• Will have
administered major EPC, EPCM, CM or C contracts - with values in excess of
$100M
• Experience in
construction, maintenance, drilling, or production services contracting,
experience in major capital projects contracting is preferred
• Intermediate to
expert contracting skills
• Strong
analytical, negotiation and communication skills
• Upstream
experience would be very beneficial but not required
• Effective
interpersonal skills to interface with contractors and business clients
• Must be a
self-starter and able to work in a virtual organization
• Ability to
strongly defend the company's positions during negotiations
