Job Description
Procurement Services oversees the procurement function for the company's
business units and major projects. As a Procurement Associate you will
participate in the formation and sustainment of contracts for a diverse supply
chain.
EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Procuring
materials and services to support business operating requirements
* Contract
development/formation and/or sustainment
• Providing
business client advice and guidance related to acquisition and contracting
processes
• Monitor and
understand dynamics of the market place for the commodity (suppliers &
market price)
• Develop and implement
portfolio tactical plan (strategy & direction of the portfolio.)
• Monitor
agreement performance interally and externally including non-conformances,
claims, audits, amendments and agreement usage
• Maintain
electronic and hard copy of contract file
• Managing
supplier relations and effectiveness of contracts
• Participating in
continuous improvement initiatives to improve processes

Special Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering
disciplines or Supply Chain Management
OTHER:
* Intermediate to
expert contracting skills and experience
• Mining Industry
Experience (Technical and/or Commercial)
• Oil sands and/or
mining or drilling procurement experience
* Experience of
Major capital project contracting preferred
• SAP Experience
an asset
* Strong
analytical, neogitiation and communication skills
* Team player with
problem solving ability, business acumen, effective time management, and
excellent communication skills
