Maintenance Technician Job Description:

• A local manufacturing company in Tualatin, OR is looking for experienced Maintenance Technicians to join their fast paced production team.

Position Overview:

• Maintenance technicians will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. They will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company.

Job Description

• Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as sheet metal fabrication equipment, grid fabrication equipment, weld equipment, air compressors, paint line equipment and forklifts.
• Repair small tools such as Grinders, Rivet Guns, Drills, Fans, and heaters
• Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactor's, motor starters, etc. as needed.
• Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments.
• Able to set up and operate welders, drill press, grinders, lathes, hand tools and other metal working equipment.
• Fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment.
• Able to follow and take direction over the phone while working with equipment manufacturers while troubleshooting equipment.
• Participates in plant safety, health and environmental programs.
