Job Summary
- Exciting opportunity to interact with multiple functions in our organization! The Applications Engineer develops customer proposals and administers proposal and order activities for a set of assigned accounts. Applications Engineers support Field Sales efforts to develop customer preference for Waukesha products.
Qualifications
- BSEE/T, or equivalent training in power systems and equipment. At least two years of progressively responsible applications engineering experience, including in-field customer problem-solving, working with independent representatives, and relationship building. Solid understanding of WES, IEEE, NEMA, NEC, IEC, and ANSI standards for design of transformers and related equipment.
Responsibilities
- Develop highly competitive proposals for new power equipment opportunities.
- Administer quote and order issues, providing timely response to customer and factory issues.
- In conjunction with Field Sales Manager and Sr. AE, plan and execute sales strategy for each market/major account assigned that will achieve bookings goal.
- Monitor changes in the marketplace (including pricing/terms & conditions) and competitor movement; anticipate direction and funnel intelligence to team.
