Our Brisbane office is currently seeking a Principal Mining Engineer - Underground Metalliferous with the following skills and qualifications: 

Job Description:
Our Brisbane office is currently seeking a Principal Mining Engineer, to join our team of eighteen mining engineers. The role is to both undertake and manage underground metalliferous mining studies including feasibility studies, scoping studies, mine planning, design, and ore reserve estimation as well as participate in technical reviews and due diligence.


Specialist skills required:
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders including management, technical professionals and operational personnel at a senior level. 
  • A sound working knowledge of underground mining operations and methods. 
  • Experience in large scale underground metalliferous operations, including mine planning, design, scheduling, ore reserve estimation, feasibility studies and project management. 
  • A reputation among industry peers for technical excellence, and strong leadership and communication skills are essential. 
  • Previous experience signing-off ore reserves is desirable. 
  • An ability to write clear and concise reports. 

Qualifications required
  • Degree or diploma in mining engineering. 
  • A minimum of 16 – 20 years experience in the mining industry, including technical or operational roles. 
  • MAusIMM CP(Min) and RPEQ or qualifications and sufficient experience to acquire these accreditations. 


The salary packages offered will be commensurate with the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
