Senior Systems Engineer

Position Summary

• Leads the requirements, design, implementation, test, and startup phases of complex business intelligence projects for various industries, including Food and Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Power and Energy Management, and Specialty Chemical. Works within an FDA validated environment (cGMP). Designs and develops Business Intelligence Portal and Dashboard solution based on Visual Studio and ASP.NET, using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery. Designs and develops SQL Server and Oracle database applications to support business intelligence solutions. Interfaces with various business intelligence data sources, including PLCs, OPC, Live Data, DeltaV, SQL Server, Oracle, Web Services and Historian Systems. Analyzes and interprets RFQs (Requests for Quotation) to develop engineering specifications. Identifies and develops cost and labor estimates. Identifies and codifies application solution-related or technology-related best practices. Provides training in business intelligence lifecycle implementation, including development environment and best practices. Travel required: 20% of the time to customer locations in the United States and Canada.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Software or Systems Engineering, and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as an Integration or Application Consultant, or Engineer. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience, the employer will accept a Master’s degree in Software or Systems Engineering, and three (3) years of experience as an Integration or Application Consultant, or Engineer. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree and five years of experience or a Master's degree and three years of experience. As part of the experience being required, the applicant must have had: experience in leading the requirements, design, implementation, test, and startup phases of complex business intelligence projects for various industries, including Food and Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Power and Energy Management, and Specialty Chemical; experience in an FDA validated environment (cGPM); experience in designing and developing Business Intelligence Portal and Dashboard solution based on Visual Studio and ASP.NET, using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery; experience designing and developing SQL Server and Oracle database applications to support business intelligence solutions; experience interfacing with various business intelligence data sources, including PLCs, OPC, Live Data, DeltaV, SQL Server, Oracle, Web Services and Historian Systems; experience in analyzing and interpreting RFQs (Requests for Quotation) to develop engineering specifications; experience in identifying and developing cost and labor estimates; and experience identifying and codifying application solution-related or technology-related best practices.
