About Our Client

My client is a market leader in the Australian engineering construction industry in innovation, quality and excellence and has undertaken some of the nations most significant and prominent road, rail, infrastructure and industrial projects.

The Role

Your purpose in this role will be to provide project wide advice, ensure environmental compliance and that legislation are adhered too.

 
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Assist and advise all environmental obligations as outlined in the  Environmental Management Plan
  • Assist the established team in determining and reviewing all project environmental requirements
  • Manage the effective control of project environmental documents, including drawings, specifications and management plans
  • Identify key environmental risks and implement effective and practical solutions by working  with area Environmental Coordinators and the engineering team
  • Investigation and reporting of environment incidents
  • Preparation of reports and coordinate studies to gather environmental data
  • Manage and participate in the review of all project environmental requirements
  • Develop and maintain effective communication and liaison with the client's representative and  external stakeholders
  • Manage effective project auditing processes, both internal and external

About You

Ideally you will have site based experience within the civil construction industry. You will posses a minimum of two years experience within infrastructure construction.
 

To be successful in this role you must have:
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
  • A minimum 2 years post graduate environment experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability to form and maintain effective working relationships
  • Competency in interpreting technical schedules and documentation
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
