Underground Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

WYN Recruitment are currently seeking a highly experienced Underground Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor for a global leading client. The position will be based working on a hard rock underground mine located in Queensland offering you the security of a permanent role. The role would also give you the chance to work Monday to Friday, enabling you to have an excellent lifestyle being home every night with your friends and family, nevertheless FIFO will not be overlooked for the right candidate.


As the Supervisor you will be heading up the Maintenance Department and reporting directly to the Fixed Plant Superintendent whilst making sure all maintenance, production and cost targets are met. You must also have the ability to lead and develop the Underground Crushing Maintenance and Operations team to plan, organise and optimise the use of available resources.


Duties will include:

• Organise tasks and personnel on a continuous shift roster
• Scheduling of routine maintenance tasks, preparation, implementation and execution of monthly shutdown plans
• Managing of ongoing cost controls and meet production targets
• Meeting project deadlines and ensuring HSE standards

You will also require the following skills:

• An extensive background in materials handling emphasizing on the maintenance of crushing and conveying equipment
• A minimum 6 years experience in underground mining 
• A minimum 7 years experience in Supervision working on large scale projects
• A minimum 3 EPCM years experience
• A proven track record leading large teams
• Excellent communication skills
• Be able to work in harsh and remote conditions
