Senior Electrical Engineer

This ongoing project with the current stage of development valued in excess of $2 billion is one of the most audacious mining infrastructure operations ever undertaken within Australia. A Senior Electrical Engineer is required to become a part of it.

Working directly for a mine owner joint venture on this WA based role, the Senior Electrical Engineer will provide a high level of technical support and some supervision in relation to design and engineering services for electrical infrastructure projects.


Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Identify the requirements for electrical engineering input into procurement and construction contract packages
• Ensure all electrical/controls engineering and instrumentation project work complies with statutory and regulatory requirements and company policies and practices
• Prepare schedules for design work and allocate physical and human resources to enable electrical/controls engineering projects to be completed on time and within budget
• Monitor progress and initiating remedial action where required to ensure electrical/controls engineering projects are completed on time and within budget
• Supervise preparation of preliminary and detailed designs, specifications and documentation for all electrical/controls engineering project work and ensure project work complies with conditions and parameters set out in project scope of works
• Supervise preparation of documentation for standards, procedures, safe working practices and monitor regimes in respect of work on or around electrical/controls engineering projects

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to undertake a role on a $multi-billion EPCM project that has many years of work to be undertaken. This senior role will draw on your years of industry experience.


As an ideal candidate you will possess:

• Tertiary Electrical engineering qualifications
• 10 years professional experience and previous experience on EPCM/Client Projects
• The right to work unrestricted within Australia
• Previous experience on iron ore mining infrastructure projects
• Experience with Material Handling equipment
