Senior Mechanical Engineer

A permanent position has opened up on a Client/Owner’s team for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work on a rapid expansion project in Queensland. On offer is a generous remuneration package and residential role with relocation costs covered by the Client.

This rapid growth project enables our Client to fully utilise the mine’s significant resource potential, making it an extremely exciting time to join a company that is already a market-leader in Australia and around the globe.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Assisting with any design alterations/faults
• Acting as a technical advisor to site contractors
• Liaising with key stakeholders in order to implement effective engineering solutions
• Developing and mentoring site and project engineering personnel
• Ensuring compliance with the Sustainable Development Management System

Candidates should have a demonstrable track record in material handling and large mining projects as the expansion will increase annual production rate by an extra 30% from 2013.

The successful candidate will have:

• A minimum of 5 years previous experience
• A Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline (Mechanical)
• A proven track record in Heavy Industrial Construction Projects
• The right to live and work in Australia on a permanent basis
