Specialist skills required

  • Underground coal experience (Mandatory)
  • Coordinate mechanical maintenance on mine services, the coal clearance system and diesel fleet
  • Oversee performance of the coal clearance system and diesel fleet to ensure that the productivity requirements of the mine are met
  • Proven maintenance management experience in underground mining
  • The highest level of safety awareness and experience in risk management processes.
  • Must be suited to and willing to fulfil the significant statutory obligations for an underground coal mine.
  • Strong engineering and technical proficiency with the ability to identify and verify technical problems and requirements across underground mine infrastructure.
Qualifications required: 
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 - years experience (Mandatory)
  • Proven leadership, Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Previous experience managing coal clearance systems and diesel fleets is (Mandatory)
  • Proven detail focused person with high level and a much disciplined approach to planning and documentation.
Must be suited to and willing to fulfil the significant statutory obligations for an underground coal mine.
Technical roles in management, maintenance, engineering, and project management.
Experience in feasibility studies and in particular materials handling options assessments for underground mines.
