Environmental Tech Job Description:

• [Company] is partnering with one of the state’s leading providers of Power Utility services throughout Alabama with an opening for Environmental Technician. This company is a subsidiary of a Southeast provider in Energy services for sectors such as residential, commercial and industrial consumers.

In this position as a Environmental Technician candidates will be working in but not limited to the following responsibilities:

• Water Sampling at plant discharges for NPDES regulation
• Storm Water and coal pile runoff water sampling
• Collection, Measurement and identification of freshwater fish species
• Elctrofishing for mercury and selenium levels in select fish species
• Organize, manage and analyze date from field and laboratory collection

Requirements for this opening are as listed but not limited to the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or Relating Field
• Ability to work both in the Field and Lab
• Travel will be required- Confined to the State of Alabama
