Principal Mining Engineer

High end technical role allowing you to stay technically focused whilst developing the team with your own style. This company is international and has a very good reputation with plenty of ongoing work. The team in Perth is solid but not large so what is needed is someone to come on board and lead and develop the team whilst continually having input into the companies strategic direction.
 
Whilst it may sound like a management role you will definitely still be hands on covering the standard:

• Conceptual, Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility Studies
• Due diligence studies
• Review work
• Project Management

Whilst business development is a part of any role at this level it will only make up about 10% of your time. There is a dedicated BD Manager and Ops Manager who look after most of this area.
This role will suit someone in an existing consultancy or working for themselves who is lacking opportunities to progress or wants to feel like they can steer a mining division in a positive direction. Alternatively you may just not be progressing financially. My client has proved to me with recent hires they are the best paying consultancy in Perth by a good margin.
