The Client
Our client is a publically well funded Mining company with its HQ located in Brisbane but with a number of new discovered and current projects across the Eastern seaboard of Australia and also internationally. Our client's focus is on the prospective exploration of sites with copper gold porphyry deposits.


The Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Exploration Geologist to join its exploration team on a permanent basis. You will be on a based locally in a major town on Coastal QLD on a FIFO or DIDO basis from Brisbane, whichever suits. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company with a small but experienced team.

Responsibilities

• Identification of Copper Gold deposits
• Coordination of deep drilling teams
• Exploration from grass roots to resource delineation programs
• Provide analysis, interpretation and modelling of data
• Create new procedures as your team grows
• Mentoring and training juniors

Requirements

• Degree qualification in a Geology or other Earth Science discipline
• A proven track record of experience in discovery focus exploration in hard rock
• Proficiency with Mapinfo
• Strong experience of working within budget and delivering projects on time
• Knowledge of ore genesis and geological modelling would be appreciated.
