Document Controller

The Company
Our client, an EPCM company, has an award winning reputation in the minerals industry for innovative engineering and seamless project delivery for clients around the world. They currently operate in a number of countries with a global network of offices.

The Position
They are currently seeking a Document Controller. You will need to ensure that documentation is registered and retrieved in an accurate and timely manner. You will also be required to manage the document control requirements and duties for the projects.

Tasks Included
  • Setting up and updating Management System including registering and filing documents
  • Transmittals-Issuing of documents, drawings internally and externally
  • Expedite return of documents within the required time period from personnel they have been distributed to
  • Checking, processing and numbering of documents and ensuring that they comply with specified format and standards
  • Monitor document control requirements and suggest recommendations for improvement
  • Liaising with Project Team, Engineers, Managers, and Clients
To be successful for this position you must have:
  • Minimum 2 years Document Control experience within mining or similar industry
  • Ability to identify and implement improvements to systems
  • Customer Service orientation
  • Strong knowledge of the flow of vendor data
  • Knowledge of vendor documents / drawing types and functions
  • Excellent Attention to Detail and Time Management Skills
