Project Engineer Perth

This is an excellent opportunity for an entry level Project Engineer with a few years’ experience to join a busy Project Implementation team in their Perth office. The primary responsibility of the Project Engineer is to assist Project Managers to deliver Projects on time, within budget and to high-quality specifications and standards.



In this role, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

•  Assistance in the implementation of Project procedures and principles
• Preparation of cost control reports and forecasts for projects
• Preparation and review of technical documents
• Evaluation and selection of suppliers and contractors
• Inspection and expediting of equipment for projects
• Working closely with PM on specifications for purchased items
• Generation of supportive documentation for progress claims
• Preparation of project work schedules
• Preparation of monthly reports to clients
• Review and allocation of vendor’s invoices
• Preparation of purchase orders
• Inspect and expedite fabricated and manufactured items  

To be successful in this role the ideal candidate will possess; 

• A Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 2 years industry experience in the Mechanical Engineering field (Mining preferred).
• Excellent communication skills and sound operating knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and AutoCAD.
• The ability to understand technical issues and reports and can recommend solutions to solve complex problems.
