Alternator Technician at Underground Workshops Alternators

Diversified Mining Services (DMS) is a leading provider of services to the Australian mining industry with extensive experience in the provision of services and equipment for the operation, maintenance and support of open cut and underground mining.


Due to business growth and expansion in our Underground Division we are currently seeking an Alternator Technician to overhaul, manufacture and repair flame proof alternators and ancillary equipment.


You will be responsible for:

• Manufacture of new parts and assembly of new product
• Preparation of quotes for overhaul
• Overhaul of electrical components (low voltage)
• Applying knowledge of Australian and International standards
• Interpreting schematics and certified drawings
• Certifying flame proof (Exd) product during overhaul

Essential:

• Electrical trade background (Auto Electrician or similar)
• Welding experience
• Motor vehcile license
• Ability to lift 25kgs

Desirable:

• Hazardous area experience (215 competency)
• Forklift license
