PRODUCTION SUB ASSEMBLY ROLES

Diversified Mining Services (DMS) is a leading provider of services to the Australian mining industry with extensive experience in the provision of services and equipment for the operation, maintenance and support of open cut and underground mining.
Due to the continued growth of the DMS COALTRAM® business and our expansion into our new production facility based at Tomago we are currently seeking expressions of interest to fill the following vacancies in the first phase of our recruitment activities. Phased timing for these roles will be applied during August to October this year. Additional opportunities are expected to be forthcoming thereafter.
SUB ASSEMBLY SUPERVISOR
An opportunity has arisen for a Sub Assembly Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing and providing direction and supervision to a multi discipline team including providing technical and product expertise as required.
The Sub-Assembly Supervisor will ensure the highest quality standards are maintained throughout the sub assembly area and that company policies and deadlines are met.
Applicants must be highly motivated, self-driven individuals who are experienced in the supervision of personnel. Sub-assemblies include engine systems and other components that are modified, pre-assembled and/or tested.
SUB ASSEMBLY TEAM LEADERS
Team Leaders will be responsible for being proactive in the implementation of safety, PPE, safe work procedures and Take 5 risk assessments. They also must ensure workshop housekeeping and cleanliness standards are adheared to and that production deadlines are met whilst maintaining the highest quality standards.
Team leaders must also lead assembly employees to ensure tasks are completed in an efficent and accurate manner and to the work scope provided. Leading by example with effective communication of expectations to the workforce is essential as is co-ordinating correct documents, procedures and task outcomes.
SUB ASSEMBLY MECHANICAL TRADESPERSONS
Workshop Based Mechanical Tradespersons are required for the assembly and quality control of the new COALTRAM® sub assemblies. Applicants must be Mechanical Trade Qualified and be willing to assist with the mentoring, training and development of staff at all levels.
SUB ASSEMBLY NON TRADE ASSEMBLERS
Working in a team environment Assemblers are responsible for the preparation and assembly of new Sub Assemblies. Other duties include maintaining workshop tools and keeping accurate job files.
Assemblers need to be effective communicators with demonstrated mechancial apptitude and the ability to work to strict deadlines. They must also be committed to working to the highest quality and safety standards.
