Contracts & Procurement Manager

Contracts and Procurement Manager Required for a large Coal Operation in QLD. The Role is on a 6 month Contract basis. You must be experienced directly within the mining industry, coal will be seen as a benefit. You will be working alongside the procurement and contracts team putting together new Systems and processes to ensure smooth running of all procurement issues onsite. 


The role will be FIFO to Brisbane (or suitable for a Brisbane based candidate) but visits to site on a regular basis. 


The ideal candidate must have; 
-Experience handling and running teams 
- At least 7 years experience working within the mining industry 
-Strong contracts negotiation and cost reduction skills 
-The ability to work closely with contractors to ensure the smooth running of operations 
-Experience setting up systems and procedures within procurement along with re-writing policies 


You must be able to go in and make a quick start and work well as part of a team. Rate negotiable depending on experience
