Senior Mine Planning Engineer

Senior Mine Planning Engineer required for an Kalgoorlie based role. Working within the Operations Planning team your focus will be long term planning. 
 
The Role:
  • Contribute to the development of the LOM mining strategy as part of the Long Term planning team.
  • Carry out mining evaluations on both open pit and underground projects.
  • Develop costings for the Life of Mine Plan and carry out financial evaluations, modelling and documentation.
  • Develop cut-off grades and carry out Resource and Reserve estimations for the Long Term Plan.
  • Carry out conceptual mining studies on new ore bodies
  • Complete economic assessments on regional mining blocks to assist with drill planning.
  • Assist with the further development of the Life of Mine plan document. 
  • Ensure integrity and security of all data stored on the mine planning systems.
  • Contribute to the regular review of mine planning processes and where appropriate trial new methods or technology.
  • Have a good understanding of the LOM plan and communicate it clearly to other staff creating an awareness of future targets and directions.
  
About you: 
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) Or Equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to work at a senior level
  • Proven experience in mine planning software
  • Strong operational background
