Planner/Scheduler

Experienced Planner/Scheduler needed to join the Mackay branch of a leading national engineering group. Due to continual growth in their maintenance division they now have an exciting opportunity to join their established professional and reputable organisation offering an excellent working environment on a 5:2 work-life balance roster.

You would be responsible for providing ongoing maintenance support including the provision of shutdowns and sustaining capital works to a broad spectrum of their customers. As the Planner/Scheduler you will be accountable for planning activities and resources, develops estimates, prepares schedules, monitors project performance, and forecasts and manages the change process for all assigned activities. You will handle inquiries and provide information and advice for assigned projects, as well as assist with the development of schedules and estimates to support development. 

You will be responsible for reviewing planning documentation and identify ambiguities, risks and key issues to be considered by the project execution team. You will visit sites and liaise with clients to obtain information for planning and be accountable for base line schedules to deliver programs that are accurate and reflective of on-site productivity and operational constraints. 

To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in dragline and shovel maintenance projects as well as exposure to shutdown planning. You will have a trade background in a relevant discipline and/or Mech/Elec Engineering degree, as well as a good working knowledge of maintenance on industrial equipment. You will have general computer literacy and be competent with MS Excel. Exposure to Primavera is advantageous.
