Senior Mining Engineer

This leading Mining Consultancy business are seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to support a Project in Eastern Europe.


The role duties and task will cover:

Senior Mining Engineer

Technical and strategic issues associated with open cut and underground mining.

Feasibility and Due diligence development

Mine planning and scheduling activities directly with customers as well as other consultancies/3rd parties

Short to medium term designs across a wide array of pits, methods, horizons and configurations

Project work involving: improvement/ opportunity investigation and mining strategy setting

Equipment sequencing, stage planning, optimization, design, scheduling

International travel and remote working will be a requirement of this role


Your experience and background should cover the following:

Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering

Experience in open cut mining and in the use of Mine Design and Scheduling software (XPAC, Minex/ Minescape or Vulcan)

Experience in feasibility studies will be highly regarded as will due diligence processes

Practical knowledge of information management systems

Experience from a Mine planning and Scheduling background

At least 8 + years experience working within the Mining industry – in particular coal based exposure

Fluency in Russian Language - reading writing and speaking
