Senior Mine Surveyor

An Australian owned mining company that is heavily investing in its Queensland operations is seeking an experienced Senior Mine Surveyor to work in their flagship underground site.


As the Senior Mine Surveyor you will work in an experienced team, reporting to the Technical Services Manager. You will be responsible for surveying their flagship underground operation whilst working with the technical team and contractors to maximise attainment of safety and production targets at all times. Your day to day duties will include but not limited to managing and maintaining the survey control data base for underground operations, surveying of all mine headings and voids to produce plans and volumes, maintaining directional and grade control of all development headings, general engineering surveying as required for site infrastructure and end of month survey reports for management and contractors.
 
To be successful it is essential that you have a tertiary qualification in Surveying and demonstrated underground hard rock experience. Ideally you will also have a Grade 1 Authorised Mine Surveyor's Certificate or be working towards acquiring one. As this role will require you to liaise with a range of operational staff it is essential that you have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
