Excellent opportunity for a motivated, hands on and self starting Key Account Manager to work for one of Australia's leading Waterproofing manufactures. With unique culture and brand, you will be the main point of contact for Queensland in a newly created position. They are looking for someone who is currently in a similar position and has key contacts with independent hardware suppliers.
About the Role:
The role will require the candidate to build and maintain relationships with businesses while protecting the brand at all times. The successful individual must have the ability to communicate with people at all levels from Managing Director's to Tradespeople. This is a new position in a fast growing market and Queensland has one of the highest areas for growth. Key responsibilities include:
* Strategic planning outlining key deliverable KPI'S
* Maximize state profit
* Merchandise according to maximising sales of product or as otherwise specified
* Manage relationships with customer base
* Deliver high level of customer service
* Generate new initiatives
* Lead business through innovative and superior commercial skills
* Training of the product to the trade and customer
Key Skills Required:
* Current relationships with hardware stores
* Industry knowledge of waterproofing and trades
* Knowledge of retail hardware and building supplies
* Ideally have contacts and understanding of the retail hardware market/building supplies market
* Proven experience in sales
* Experience with developing business relationships both new and leveraging existing
* Must be self motivated, hands on and use own initiative
* Commitment to building and growing the business
* Strong negotiator and problem solver
* Good communication skills and have the ability to build rapport with customers
* Travel when needed
* Strong verbal, written, presentation and effective listening skills
