Are you our next Maintenance Materials Coordinator?
- We are currently seeking a Maintenance Materials Coordinator for Faustina, LA location. This position is responsible for ordering all maintenance materials needed for planned work orders. Responsibility includes verifying requested materials are properly identified, source materials per purchasing direction, monitor delivery to ensure requested execution date is met, expedite materials as needed, select substitute materials if required, manage kitting resources and report when work order is ready for scheduling. Performing this role requires coordination with planning, purchasing, supplier, kitting and scheduling functions. Be vigilant of issues and conditions that can affect their fellow workers. Report any issues that can impact the environment or the safety of the employees.
What will you do?
- Review planned work orders, verify material availability, determine proper sourcing and order materials. Work closely with Planners and/or Maintenance Supervisors to resolve issues relating to material substitutions or availability. Provide feedback to Planners to improve or correct computer management maintenance system (CMMS) records.
- Monitor procurement reports to ensure anticipated deliveries satisfy requests and expedite as needed. Consult with suppliers to identify substitute materials as needed to meet demands.
- Supervise, train, coach and develop personnel assigned to manage kitting/staging activities and ensure compliance with EHSS policies and practices. Monitor work order feedback for opportunities to improve process
- Facilitate the prompt return of un-used materials to minimize waste, overstock and re-stocking fees. Monitor results and seek opportunities to improve return process.
- Monitor process seeking opportunities to improve and share best practices with other sites.
Position Requirements
- High School diploma or GED certificate and 5 years related maintenance experience required.
- Experience in Heavy Manufacturing Plant Maintenance (Phosphates industry desired).
- Knowledge of maintenance practices and plant equipment components.
- Proficiency in the understanding of the purchasing guidelines and bidding process.
- Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and understand the interrelations within an industrial facility.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, CMMS (Maximo).
- Good motivational, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Physical work environment includes occasionally working outdoors and occasional exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments.
- Ability to safely move in and through work areas, including climbing stairs, maintaining good balance, being mentally alert, having good visual acuity, and safely working at heights.
- Ability to safely work in and around heavy industrial environment, including moving objects, fluids, concentrated chemicals and transport vehicles.
- Meet fitness for duty criteria under Company Medical Management Program.
- Able to lift/carry approximately 0-10 lbs. constantly.
- Able to lift/carry approximately 11-20 lbs. frequently.
- Able to lift/carry approximately 21-50 lbs. occasionally.
- Able to distinguish varying or specific colors, patterns or materials.
- Applying up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
- Able to read, write and understand basic English.
- Able to see, with or without correction.
- Able to travel unassisted.
- Able to use fine hand motor skills. Able to form arithmetic operations quickly and accurately.
- Must be able to apply principles to solve practical problems. Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
- Able to work overtime as required.
- Able to hear, with or without correction.
- Able to distinguish varying or specific colors, patterns or materials.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
